Circa 202 BC - 220 AD
A terracotta duck with nicely rendered legs and polychrome feathers. It has folded wings, a gracefully arched neck, and a black head with attentive eyes and a detailed beak.
This Mingqi figure was made to go with the deceased into the afterlife, and was presumably meant as a source of food for the deceased.
