2009 Blaxta, Vidal Icewine - Flen - 1 Chopine (0.25L)

Blaxsta is a very small winery, but also know as the worlds most northern winery. So, yes, that might be cool for some jurnalists and others, but that was never my cause when it all started summer 1999, but rather that up north, we have 24 hours of daylight (midnight sun) in the peak summer months, exposing the grapes to 25% more daylight hours than in Bordeaux, etc. giving the grapes a unique intensity, structure and aromas. So, years of hard work (a bit of luck) and much appreciation among wine connoisseurs, little Blaxsta wine have received gold four times at the International World wine Challenge.
An auction is always an auction, and bidders might not always know the value of an unknown product/brand etc. Our first few vintages (2003 and 2005) was a) only produced in small quantity of 3-400 bottles and since long ago, sold out, but now shows up occasionally at various fine wine wine auctions in Sweden, UK and Japan and selling for Eur 600 - 700 each bottle.
