Lajos Győri was a traveling agent for Képcsarnok Vállalat, while he was self-taught, then as an art collector and art dealer he opened a gallery among the first entrepreneurs in the country, which he planned to operate as the home of the Lajos Gulácsy Creative Community, founded in 1983. The charter was signed by eight artists: Endre Bálint, László Bencze, Csaba Fejér, Andor Kántor, Oszkár Papp, Endre Rátkay, Piroska Szántó and Emil Vén. Lajos Győri knew exactly the aesthetic significance of Kassák or Barcsay, and together with the Erdész Gallery, he published a series of hundreds of Korniss screen prints.
