Grand Funk Railroad,sometimes abbreviated as Grand Funk,is an American hard rock band popular in the 1970s that toured extensively and played in crowded arenas around the world.
Known for their philanthropic arena rock style,the band was highly valued by the audience for their fantastic live performances despite a relative lack of critical recognition.
By 1971,Grand Funk hit the record attendance at the Beatles Shea Stadium,but sold out in just 72 hours,while the Beatles concert took a few weeks to sell out.
