A beautiful XVII century suit of armour in very good condition due the aging. The quality of this armor indicates that it was built for a high-ranking samurai or a local daimyo (feudal lord). The armour is full and composed of Kabuto (Hineno Zunari Style), maedate, Do with brown redish colour, kotes with the mon of the samurai family, tsuneate, Haidate, sode, menpo (facial mask) and nodawa. This beautiful Edo period armor was purchased from a local museum in Fukuoka prefecture, which closed a few years ago, along with other pieces and auctioned its objects in a private sale. The armor is complete, with all the original pieces and a correct descriptive label with the dates and style, probably from the museum, in the wooden box.
