Lan Reserva 1988 (6 Bottles) Bodegas LAN - (Fuenmayor, La Rioja) D.O.: RIOJA "LAN Reserva has spent 18 months in mixed French and American oak barrels and a further 21 months in the bottle, inside our winery, in exceptional conservation conditions. Don't save this Reserve for a better occasion that never comes. VINEYARD: From selected vineyards in the Rioja Alta and Alavesa subzone with an average age of more than 25 years. ELABORATION: Fermentation in stainless steel tanks with a controlled temperature, allowing it to not exceed 26ºC so as not to lose the aromas from the grapes. Maceration for 3 weeks with pumping over to achieve good color extraction. Aging For 20 months in mixed barrels – American oak on the staves and French oak on the bottoms – in which LAN is a pioneer, followed by 18 months of refining in the bottle. TASTING NOTES: Intense and bright cherry red with garnet hues. On the nose it is complex. Elegant symphony of notes of black fruits and berries assembled with aromas of vanilla and spices. Friendly and silky on entry. The palate is broad, long and very persistent."
