The New York Mirror (and only the Mirror) ran this strip from August 5 to October 21 1934. It was a comic created by Helen Kane, with art by Ving Fuller. Upon learning in 1933 that the Fleischer Studios struck a deal to produce a comic strip based on "Betty Boop" and that negotiations were underway, Helen Kane contacted King Features Syndicate in advance, proposing a comic that would showcase her as "The Original Boop-Boop-a-Doop Girl".
