This is an auction of a very special piece of the history of Apple: one of the first release units of the second generation of the iPod touch, from 2008, still sealed in its genuine and never opened box.

This unit is also very special because it was personalized in the factory of Apple in 2008. If you bought the iPod touch from the Apple Online Store, you could order a laser engraving service of a custom message written on the rear surface of the iPod, that in this generation was made of stainless steel. The majority of first release units of the iPod touch 2G were of the model MB528LL/A. This one is PB529LL/A because it is an one-off personalized unit. Nobody knows which message was engraved on it in September 2008, ordered by the original customer. This is an interesting mystery that makes this unit more special and collectible!
