Large Victorian walnut writing slope, crafted in the military campaign style, banded with brass and featuring brass caps on the corners, along with a shield-shaped cartouche and matching key escutcheon.
The hinged lid opens to reveal a fitted interior, adorned with black leather embossed and gilded in an ornate Art Nouveau scrolling design. Inside, you’ll find two hidden pull-out drawers, the original pen well lid, and two cut-glass inkwells.
The rich patina and attractive scrolling grain of the walnut, combined with the brass accents, give this box a lovely warmth and timeless character.
