"Dat kan mijn kleine nichtje ook" (That's something my little niece can do as well) is a statement that echoes through museums and exhibitions, often used to dismiss a work as mere tinkering. This remark made me question where tinkering ends and design begins, and whether tinkering is truly as negative as it is often perceived.
The design of the vases is inspired by my fascination with how children frequently draw. Just a few pencil lines are enough to suggest form and color. What intrigued me most about this technique was the new approach to design drawing that it revealed.
