Cave de Tain - l'Hermitage is a leading French cooperative winery located at the foot of the famed Hermitage slope in the northern Rhône. It is particularly known for its wines made from the Syrah grape, which is the only red variety it produces. Cave de Tain is the largest producer of AOC wine in the northern Rhône.

The company was formed in 1933 by several dozen individual growers. Today, this has expanded to 300 members, who collectively farm over 1000 hectares (2500 acres) of vineyards. The holdings include 21ha (52 acres) of vines in the prestigious Hermitage vineyard, and Cave de Tain is responsible for a quarter of the appellation's production. Cave de Tain's influence in Hermitage is based on the personal domaine of Louis Gambert de Loche, the first president of the co-operative. Since 1994, a prestige cuvée from selected plots within the vineyard has carried the Gambert de Loche name.

Cave de Tain produces wine under five appellations – Hermitage, Saint-Joseph, Cornas, Saint Péray and Crozes-Hermitage. While there are standard releases under each, Cave de Tain also produce a range of single-vineyard or single-block releases as well as a range of varietal IGP Collines Rhodaniennes wines.

The co-operative has a central vineyard team to oversee vineyards, which since 2007 have been mapped by GPS to allow precision viticulture on a plot by plot basis. The modern winery sports an array of hi-tech, automated equipment, a selection of stainless steel and concrete tanks and large oak vats for traditional aging. In 2209, Cave de Train established Terres de Syrah as an extensive wine tourism and events department.
