Up for auction is a nice antique 4/4 violin for professional musician or collector. The label says: Carlo Ferdinando Landolfi, nella Contrada di Santa Margarita, al Segno della Sirena, Milano 1755. The instrument remains in good condition with some tears and wears but no cracks, good rosewood set up, baroque bridge and new strings. This is a superb sounding instrument, also very beautiful in appearance. The interesting lion scroll is professionally executed and the edges are masterfully done. The original varnish of golden brown color remains in good condition. The strongly flamed two pieces maple back measures 357 mm. The total length of the violin is 592 mm. The width of the upper bouts: 165 mm; middle bouts: 110 mm; lower bouts: 205 mm. High grained spruce top. Beautiful model with a very elegant natural amber patina, very high quality of woods, perfect details all over. Shipping worldwide insured!
