Marvelous porcelain group figurine of a “Putto with Kid”, originally titled “Putto mit Zicklein”, created in 1928 by the famous artist Prof. Albin Döbrich (1872-1945) for Augarten Wiener Porzellanmanufaktur, in perfect condition. It depicts a lovely playful scene between a naked boy and a baby goat, joyfully enjoying each other, on round base with grass and flowers. Albin Döbrich was born in Thuringia Germany and is considered one of the greatest artist of his time. During the World War I, he was head of an industrial school in his native Sonneberg. In the period 1924-1934, he designed for Augarten Wiener Porzellanmanufaktur and became professor at the Art Academy in Wien (Vienna). His legacy is kept in the Museum of Applied Arts. It is in perfect condition, marked and stamped Augarten Wien Austria on the back of the base, impressed numbered #1618, impressed marked “Made in Austria”, #93 painter number Anna Seger, beautifully sculpted and glazed, NO chips, NO cracks and NO repairs, please see the pictures as they are part of description. 1950-1957 Dimensions : Length: 9 cm Height: 10,5cm Width: 7 cm It will be very carefully and safely packed !
