TRUE FIRST 1872 edition of " Through the Looking-Glass, and What Alice Found There"!!! Published in London by Macmillan in 1872 this is the English First Edition, First issue, with the first issue misprint "wade" for "wabe" on page. 21, of this the sequel to Lewis Carroll’s “Alice in Wonderland”, book is well illustrated with fifty two drawings by the artist Sir John Tenniel. This example has been rebound in an old half leather binding with marbled paper covered boards and endpapers. Book in very good condition for age. Inside light stains and foxing mostly on margins, slight yellowing to a few pages but overall clean condition, one page with a little repair on margin with blank tape not affecting text or images; one page with a repair with blank tape affecting a bit text-see last 2 photos. Externally light wear around edges and corners but overall leather in good condition.
