This book, the 15th volume in the "Showa Photography: All Works" series, is a retrospective of Higashimatsu's work, with chapters on each series: "NAGASAKI," "Sakura," "Occupation," "Postwar Japanese," "High Growth," "Eros and Power," "Pencil of the Sun," "Glowing Wind," "Southeast Asia Travel," and "Mr. Freedam, The book contains representative works from the early 1950s to 1983. The book is mainly in black-and-white, with some color photographs included, and is designed to provide a personal view of Higashimatsu, a photographer who captured postwar Japan from a personal point of view.
