A female painter active in the late Edo to Meiji periods.
Born in Tenpo 11.
A native of Edo. Her name was Tetsu.
She studied under Shiina Bunyu, and later under Todo Takakiyo.
Specialized in painting flowers and birds.
After the Meiji Restoration, she taught ink painting in Kanda, Tokyo.
It is said that many of her students were the children of high-ranking officialsand foreigners.
Died in Meiji 27 at the age of 55.
