This is a fossil shrimp of the species Carpopenaeus callirostris from the famous Cretaceous aged fossil beds near Ajoula, Lebanon. The specimen preserve many details, like the antennal flagellum( Antenna), Scaphocerite and Rostrum These deposits represent a warm, shallow sea and have yielded over 70 types of fish as well as numerous other genre found no where else in the world. The preservation on many of these specimens is truly amazing including including examples of soft bodied preservation Plate is 10 x 9,5 cm The fossil is been restored and stabilized with Paraloid.
