【Summary】 Katana by Den-Echizen Hokino-Kami Hirotaka(伝越前伯耆守汎隆), a popular swordsmith representing Echizen(越前). There is an atmosphere of being able to cut anything. A certificate paper is included in the set. 【About Den-Echizen Hokino-Kami Hirotaka(伝越前伯耆守汎隆)】 Hirotaka is a representative of the Echizen Shimosaka school of swordsmiths(越前下坂一派). Many of his works have been recognized by Wazamono(業物) for their excellent cutting quality. He was a student of Michimoto Kanetane(道本兼植), who was a descendant of Echizen Kanenori(越前兼法). A further addition, Echizen Kanenori is a swordsmith who moved from Seki in Mino to Echizen in the early Edo period, and is famous for being the founder of Echizen shinto(越前新刀). From the past to the present, Hirotaka has consistently been known for his sharpness, and this Katana is a typical example of Hirotaka's work. It's recommended for those who want to fully enjoy the charm of a talented swordsmith. Incidentally, Hirotaka's name is still affectionately called "Bonryu" or "Bon-taka. 【condition/size】 The blade is in good condition. There are some small scratches in places due to age.
