Rare and 100% original offiical leather-like-cover US Navy bible as worn by Navy personel during WW2 with the FDR message and 48 star flag depiction in the front. It is dated 1941 and nicely named to the original sailor S.J.W. Richards. You can clearly see he has worn the bible throughout his service in the navy, with some period water staining (no sticky pages!!!). A great bible altogether and definitely used during WW2 - I didnt do any research on the name due to lack of time, see attached photo's, this would be fun to do. This bible was surely carried in the war - touching piece of WW2 memorabilia and great for your USA WW2 collection!
