Camel - Breathless / Prog Legend / Japan Press With OBI - LP - Japanese pressing - 1982

★★★Camel -Their music has influenced artists including Marillion, Opeth and Steven Wilson. Music journalist Mark Blake described Camel as "the great unsung heroes of 70s prog rock". ★★★Breathless - is the sixth studio album by British progressive rock band Camel. The album was first released in 1978 and is considered an important milestone in the band's career. "Breathless" continues Camel's signature progressive rock style, characterized by sophisticated melodies, complex arrangements and expressive guitar and keyboard solos. The band is also characterized by the use of flute and saxophone, which enrich their sound. Unlike some previous Camel albums, "Breathless" is not a concept album. However, it contains a mix of instrumental pieces and songs with varying themes, including love, longing and personal reflection. Notable songs on the album include "The Great Marsh," "Rhayader," "Rhayader Goes to Town," and "Summer Lightning." These pieces show the musical sophistication and virtuoso skills of the band members. "Breathless" was received positively by critics and achieved moderate success on the charts. Although it is not as well known as some of Camel's previous albums, it is appreciated by many of the band's fans. Camel's line-up on "Breathless" consisted of Andrew Latimer (guitar, flute, vocals), Peter Bardens (keyboards), Richard Sinclair (bass, vocals) and Andy Ward (drums). This line-up was responsible for the sound of "Breathless". "Breathless" may not be one of Camel's most well-known albums, but it is a solid work that highlights the band's musical quality and skill. With its complex, melodic style, it is an album that can appeal to fans of progressive rock as well as lovers of sophisticated rock music. All Music .
