1930s Art Deco Sculpture of an elegant woman  running alongside three dogs , a beautiful piece by Amelia Cate De LaTour. It is a metal statue, with color artfully applied . The pose shows movement, and yet is serene and graceful. It has a nice onyx and black French marble base (known as ‘Portor marble) with a clear signature. Amelia Cate De La Tour was born in  Scotland  and studied the arts at the Bournemouth School  in England as well as the Central School of Arts and Crafts.  She specialized in paintings and sculpture of animals, but this statue is her most famous creation, showing a lovely 1920s woman with her three dogs. She exhibited her work at the Royal Academy and the Salon des Artists Francais. Excellent condition
