Judas Priest– Defenders Of The Faith Defenders of the Faith is the ninth studio album by the English heavy metal band Judas Priest, released on January 13, 1984 by Columbia Records. The album was certified platinum by the RIAA and spawned the singles "Freewheel Burning", "Some Heads Are Gonna Roll" and "Love Bites". The cover art by Doug Johnson (who also designed the Hellion in Screaming for Vengeance) features the Metallian, a horned, tiger-like land attack creature with Gatling guns and armored tracks designed by the band. The back contains a message: Rising from the darkness where hell knows no mercy and the cries for vengeance echo forever. Only those who remain faithful will escape the wrath of the Metallians...masters of all metals.
