Dieser sehr originale 450 SL wurde 2014 in die EU importiert und steht seit dem in einer beheizten Halle. Die komplette Technik muss überprüft und gewartet werden, aufgrund der langen Standzeit, aber Motor und Getriebe laufen jetzt schon gut. Das originale Verdeck ist noch montiert und weist keine Risse auf, allerdings sind die Kunststoffscheiben vergilbt. Hier wäre also ein Austausch angebracht.
Das Auto weist typisch für ein aus Kalifornien importiertes Fahrzeug kaum Rost auf, wenn dann nur oberflächlich.
Das Hardtop ist ebenfalls vorhanden.
Alles in allem ein sehr gutes Renovierungsfahrzeug mit einer schönen und originalen Substanz. Sowohl Steuern als auch Zollgebühren wurden bei der Einfuhr entrichtet, entsprechende Nachweise liegen vor.

Der 450 SL steht in Deutschland, genauer im Ruhrgebiet, und muss dort nach dem Kauf abgeholt werden. Es wird empfohlen, das Fahrzeug vor dem Bieten zu besichtigen und zu prüfen, um spätere Unstimmigkeiten und Enttäuschungen zu vermeiden.
