Description and origin: "beloudj" or "balouch" prayer rug representing a vast architectural complex, possibly the Great Mosque of Mecca, "Masjid al-Harâm". Original and very large size for a prayer rug. It has eventually be used for decoration or as a door, as attested by the rings on the verso side. Dimensions: 190 cm x 125 cm Age: mid-20th century Condition: overall in very good condition. Pile slightly damaged in a limited area, and another with pink rub off (see pictures)
