Rare French majolica tulip jug signed d'Orchies, circa 1910. Height - 20cm. In 1886, two brothers Joseph and Emile L'Hermine Declercq created the Orcs Fayansry. Emile already owned the Faïencerie Rimbaud factory in Belgium, wanting to diversify and increase its production. Orchies slip jugs were made in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Just before the First World War, the Orchies Faïencerie employed over 200 workers.
