Publisher’s original turquoise blue cloth cover.
To front, Arthur Rackham design; three Christmas bells and two imps below ringing them, pictured in block black and title in bold black capitals at the top.
On spine black titles and holly and berries design, also in black.
Plain blue on back apart from a tiny windmill bottom left.

Condition: wear, marks, browning to edges and spine.
Previous owners stamps, inside front board, and on opening hinge webbing is showing

Illustrations:
Seven wonderful colour plates by Arthur Rackham, signed and dated 1915, on their own shiny paper. Incredible how detailed they are, the more you look, the more you see.

Also in the text, approx twenty line drawing illustrations by Rackham and small chapter end decorations throughout, all in black.

All seven colour plates are in perfect condition
One slight imperfection but only on white border
Note, frontispiece plate is missing, 3pp. at front present but loose
