Rare eyewitness account of the 101st Airborne forces that were besieged around the Belgian town of Bastogne, a vital crossroad, from December 17 to 26th, 1944, during the larger events of the Battle of the Bulge; based mostly on interviews with commanders, staff officers, & participating soldiers. 260 pages!!! Hardcover in good condition, except for some slight staining throughout (no sticky pages) - it still has the original dust cover which is almost always missing! Note that there is a protective sleeve on the dust cover, this is LOOSE (so not glued or geplastificeerd), so you can easily take it off if you'd like. It was simply done to prevent damage to the dust cover, so the paper is all OK.
The Screaming Eagles is one of the most potent and tactically mobile of any army force in the world. During the Second World War the 101st Airborne Division distinguished itself at D-Day, Operation Market Garden, the Battle of the Bulge and during the invasion of Germany.
Virtually all of the books seen for sale are REPRINT's; this is the original first edition from 1946!

Exactly, as mentioned in the description: '' NOTE: in the US section some insignia photo's were cut out (see attached photo's).'', so with photo's added. How could it possible be more clear?
