Full colour title page drawn by Ezquerra for an episode of Island of the Damned, featuring Durham Red the 'Strontium Bitch', a mutant vampire. Published in 2000ad prog (issue) 771 on 22nd Feb 1992 This is a full colour title page still complete with the acetate overlay and also publisher’s notes on tracing paper. The page has been painted by Ezquerra for maximum impact and with a fantastic colour palette, in a combination of inks painted, airbrushed and penned. Durham Red has been taken to suffer on the Island of the Damned, where an artificial sun makes the prisoners sweat, the sweat is collected and processed into drugs. The evil sweat collectors can be seen filling their buckets to process the victim's juices into terrible drugs. The page features the official square 2000ad rubber stamp on the reverse, which details the prog (issue number) and date published. Carlos Ezquerra co-created Judge Dredd and is a legend in the comic art world. Please view all the photographs for condition report. As you can see it is in excellent condition.
