It comes with two NBTHK certificates. The sword's certificate (No. 296479) recognizes it as a valuable heavy sword, issued on June 4, 1974. Ishido Teruhide creates modern swords with beautiful hamon patterns. The tsuba's certificate (No. 54) recognizes the iron, round-shaped tsuba with a bee design, symbolizing diligence and hard work, as a valuable small item, issued on April 2, 1974. Masatsugu was a representative swordsmith of the Kanabo Ippa from the late Muromachi period. The collar features Shakudo Nanako, a fine-textured blackened metal, with gold inlays of paulownia flowers and leaves, symbolizing nobility and the imperial family. The Tsugaru-nuri saya, from Aomori Prefecture, involves multiple layers of lacquering and polishing, taking over 40 steps and more than two months to complete.
