De Chevrolet Corvette C3, de derde generatie van de Corvette, debuteerde in 1968 en maakte meteen indruk met zijn gestroomlijnde ontwerp en krachtige prestaties. Voortbouwend op het succes van zijn voorgangers, verlegde de C3 de grenzen van autodesign en -techniek en stelde nieuwe normen voor Amerikaanse sportwagens.


De 1977 Chevrolet Corvette C3 Targa L48 is het laatste jaar Corvette C3 dat is geproduceerd met de gewilde rechte achterruit, en deze unieke Corvette in passende jaren '70 kleurstelling is een levendige getuigenis van dat erfgoed. Deze verbluffende klassieker is niet alleen technisch klaargemaakt, maar is ook voorzien van een gloednieuwe APK-keuring, geldig voor twee jaar, en een Nederlands kenteken. 

Carrosserie/lakwerk:
Gehuld in zijn opvallende '72 Medium red' lak, straalt deze Corvette nog steeds de glans uit van zijn gloriedagen. Aangezien de auto door de verleden eigenaar voorzien is van een nieuwe laklaag (oorspronkelijke kleur was: '10 - Classic White') verkeerd de lak nog in erg nette staat. Compleet met verchroomde (originele) velgen, gemonteerd op Dunlop G/T Qualifier met goed profiel.

Technisch:
Onder de motorkap ligt het kloppende hart van Amerikaanse 'muscle power' - de matching numbers L48-motor die 180 pk levert. Compleet standaard uitgevoerd m.u.v. het Edelbrock luchtfilterhuis upgrade, wat je niet meer vaak tegenkomt, is dit nog een Corvette in zijn puurste vorm..

Interieur:
Neem plaats in het Buckskin lederen (trim 642) interieur (originele kleurcode), waar de stoelen nog steeds comfort bieden na al die jaren. Verder verkeert het interieur nog in nette staat gezien de respectabele leeftijd van 47 jaar. De nette Targa tops bieden de vrijheid om te kiezen tussen open rijden en het comfort van een gesloten cabine, en ze passen netjes achter de stoelen voor gemakkelijke toegang onderweg.

Met een geldige APK-keuring en een Nederlands kenteken, is deze auto klaar om de weg op te gaan.
