The gray Mishima flat tea bowl is a work by Asami Shozui, a renowned artist born in Kyoto in 1900. Trained under the fifth generation Kiyomizu Rokubei, Shozui's work has been celebrated at the Imperial Art Academy, Koten Exhibition, and the Ministry of Commerce Exhibition.
