MARK HOPKINS born in 13 June 1929 Birmingham, Alabama, USA, died 9 Jan 1993 Portland, Oregon, USA Mr. Hopkins developed an interest in painting during the late 1950s and began studying oil and watercolor painting, figure drawing and Chinese calligraphy. In 1962, he traveled to Switzerland, where he worked with artist Mark Tobey. After moving back to Washington the following year, he ran a studio in Seattle briefly before moving to Walla Walla, where he taught private art classes and painted for shows. He moved to Milan, Italy, in 1970, where he was involved in creating works of art that were shown and sold in Europe and America. Mr. Hopkins returned to Portland in 1979 and was involved in numerous lines of work, including exterior and interior painting. Painting for sale was made during Hopkins stay in Italy, allegedly made around Venice sea site. Painting technique oil on canvas dimensions 70 x 46 cm.
