The Ornellaia 2021 by Tenuta dell'Ornellaia was obtained from a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon (51%), Merlot (27%), Cabernet Franc (18%) and Petit Verdot (4%). They are the grapes of the great Bordeaux wines, capable of expressing themselves at the pinnacle of excellence even in that short and magical strip of Tuscan coast represented by the Bolgheri area. The Ornellaia 2021 Bolgheri Superiore by Tenuta Ornellaia rested for 20 months in oak barriques, 70% new and 30% second passage. The blending of the single-variety wines took place after 12 months of refinement. Before being marketed, it rested for a further 12 months in the bottle. We are faced with a small masterpiece of world oenology, ready to take its place in the "dream cellar" of every wine enthusiast. Ornellaia 2021 was awarded 99 points by Antonio Galloni.
