Dit mooie vintage drietal is gemaakt door de beroemde Issetsu Kuribayashi. 

Kuribayashi-san werd geboren in 1924 en begon rond 1955 met het maken van creatieve kokeshi. Hij wordt beschouwd als een van de grondleggers van de sosaku-beweging en heeft alle grote prijzen gewonnen die je met kokeshi kunt winnen. 

Kenmerkend voor zijn unieke creaties zijn bloementhema’s en het gebruik van meerdere houtsoorten met natuurlijke kleuren die hij met de hand beschildert. Deze set is daar een mooi voorbeeld van.
