A beautiful watercolor painting, I collected this from Nepal when I went in 2017 when I was volunteering in a hospital, in Kathmandu, a very detailed strong colors and beautiful abstract depicting life after an earth quake in Nepal. A woman is going to the stupa (Buddhist prayer temple) in the distance, a man with water buckets is also visible, Signed by the artist, the size may slightly vary. Slight edge wear but not that visible from afar. In original condition, no restorations. 

About the artist - D. Ram Palpali

Born in 1969 A.D. in Palpa, is a self-taught artist with three solo painting exhibitions to his credit, held in Nepal and around the world. He has also participated in numerous group art exhibitions and art workshops in Nepal and USA, including National Exhibition of Art and Craft organized by Nepal Academy of Fine Art. He has won several awards including such as Ranglal Bangdel Smriti Exhibition Rastriya Kala Kaushal Exhibition Award, Camlin Art Foundation Calcutta Professional Award, National Film Festival Award, Nepal Art Council Award etc.

The artist is amongst the top water colorists in Nepal. He usually depicts landscapes with popular heritage sites or temples to which the viewers instantly connect. The tonal values, transparent quality and freshness he is able to maintain in water color are par excellent. His works transport the onlooker to the ambience he is painting, i.e. sometimes in the rural expansion of Nepal and at times to the temples and scenic landscapes of the valleys of Nepal.

We have used camera phone, in normal lighting conditions, no filters or editing, the color may vary depending on your screen, there is slight glare from the cover of the frame in the photos.
