This original Prince Valiant art page is drawn in ink over pencil with red key lines.

The artwork was drawn by John Cullen Murphy (1919-2004) for Sunday comic strip art #3192 , dated April 12th 1998.

A very old and tired King Arthur is defending Camelot from invaders, he is brilliantly drawn in the first panel.
Prince Valiant, the strip's protagonist is shown in the final panel, assembling a group of wild men and poachers.

This artwork also boasts a beautiful view of Camelot and a panel of battle action.

Drawn on three sections of Bristol board taped together from behind, the image area measures 332mm x497mm

The title and the 'Our Story' header are pasted on. The official King Features Copyright notice is still attached.
