Een sensatie was het zeker toen in 1982 Mercedes op de markt kwam met een kleine compacte sedan met een tijdloze uitstraling, geweldige kwaliteit en uitzonderlijk goede rijeigenschappen.
Dit werd de Baureihe 201 en is tot 1994 gemaakt.
Al snel kreeg dit model de bijnaam "Babybenz" en het was een commercieel succes.

Nog steeds zijn deze modellen zeer gezocht vanwege hun prima rijeigenschappen en ongeëvenaarde kwaliteit en duurzaamheid: gebouwd voor de eeuwigheid, simpel en doordacht, dus makkelijk en goed koop te rijden en in stand te houden.

Mooie gave exemplaren worden schaars en kostbaar maar gaan eeuwig mee en zulke goede auto's worden nooit meer gebouwd! 

Deze prachtige Mercedes 190 was de laatste  20 jaar van dezelfde eigenaar en wegens gevorderde leeftijd werd er weinig mee gereden en uiteindelijk werd de auto verkocht.

Nieuw in Duitsland geleverd was het een instapmodel met de zuinige 1.8 motor maar wel met leuke opties: automaat, schuifdak, ABS, 4 hoofdsteunen, radio, getint glas en een frisse signaalkleur.

Erg mooi in de lak, de auto straalt je tegemoet, de ruiten zijn niet bekrast, rondom ziet alles er heel netjes uit en er is zo geen roest te bekennen. ook onder de motorkap en in de kofferruimte ziet het er gelikt uit.

De grijze bekleding is nog werkelijk als nieuw, het dashboard aan de bovenzijde is volledig gaaf (op een barst bij een ventilatierooster na), de auto ruikt zelfs nog bijna als een nieuwe.
Erg mooie grijze tapijten, hele nette deurpanelen en een heel fris interieur.

Rijdt uiteraard als nieuw, heeft recent nieuwe banden gekregen en is keurig onderhouden.

Preventief is de kachelmotor net vernieuwd, deze maakte een bijgeluid.
De APK keuring is tot midden 2025 geldig.
Aan de Nationale Autopas is te zien dat de auto weinig heeft gereden bij de vorige eigenaar en dat de kilometers te verklaren zijn. Helaas zijn de boekjes verloren gegaan.

We proberen de auto's zo eerlijk en correct mogelijk te omschrijven maar het blijven gebruikte voertuigen dus er kan altijd iets zijn dat aandacht behoeft of enige gebruikssporen vertoont.

Het is raadzaam om het voertuig eerst te bekijken alvorens te bieden om teleurstellingen achteraf te voorkomen. Voor een afspraak kunt u contact opnemen met Catawiki.
