Waar vind je nog een originele Ford Taunus GXL van de eerste serie in een zeer nette conditie? Hier op Catawiki!

Waar de meeste klassieke Fords helaas ten prooi zijn gevallen aan onder andere tuning, brede velgen en een sportuitlaat, heeft deze Taunus nog steeds hetzelfde uiterlijk als bij de Nederlandse levering in 1971, nu 53 jaar geleden. De auto is 13 jaar geleden overgenomen uit een erfenis en was toen in dezelfde conditie als heden. In deze laatste 13 jaar is er maar 1000 km mee gereden en stond de auto altijd onder een beschermhoes in een verwarmde garage.

Volgens de eigenaar is de auto ongeveer 30 jaar geleden eens overgespoten om cosmetische redenen. Nu is de carrosserie nog steeds mooi en glanzend. Enkele plekjes zijn door de jaren heen bijgewerkt met een penseel wat op de foto's is te zien, maar de carrosserie is uitzonderlijk goed bewaard gebleven. Ook het chroom van de bumpers en alle roestvrijstalen afwerkstrippen zijn mooi.

Onder de motorkap is het ook allemaal zeer verzorgd. Duidelijk een auto die veel liefde heeft gehad. De motor is vorig jaar voorzien van een nieuwe accu, een nieuwe waterpomp en distributieriem. Ook is er een nieuwe uitlaat gemonteerd. Wij horen de kleppen iets tikken, dus die kunnen nog eens gesteld worden. De motor start direct en loopt goed en krachtig. Schakelen, remmen en verlichting zijn ook allemaal probleemloos en de auto rijdt iedere gewenste afstand zonder problemen. Ook alle instrumenten en schakelaars op het dashboard werken. De Michelin banden hebben nog genoeg profiel maar zijn  zeker 13 jaar oud.

De eerste serie, zoals deze TC1 zijn onder de liefhebbers het meest gezocht. Dit waren ook de auto's met het mooiste dashboard, de Rostyle velgen en de markante grill. Zeker de meest complete maar zeldzame GXL modellen zijn tegenwoordig graag gezien op evenementen of in een privé verzameling.

Het originele instructieboekje is bij de auto en er zijn 2 sleutels. 

Voor de buitenlandse koper zorgen wij gratis voor het juiste exportdocument zodat u de auto snel in het door u gewenste land geregistreerd kan hebben.
