Personnage d'autel, culture Ewe, Ghana. H.32cm

Personnage féminin de culte Vaudou, prononcé Vodun en Afrique de l'Ouest. C'est un objet d'autel, il est placé avec d'autres personnages et reçoit des offrandes, principalement, du kaolin, de la craie, du talc, du parfum, du gin, du savon, des cigarettes.....
Le personnage a une belle présence, il semble accueillant. La position du corps appuie cette force paisible et rayonnante. Le visage est doux. La sculpture est réussi, la tête est sous dimensionné mais l'ensemble est pourtant harmonieux. Le dos présente une belle usure attestant de l'ancienneté de cet objet. Une belle pièce de culte Vaudou ancienne et authentique. Circa 1950.
