Superbe peinture aborigène d'Australie provenant des îles Tiwi, en face de Darwin.

Achetée au centre d'art Jilamara Arts and Craft Association, cette toile n'a jamais été encadrée, elle est dans un excellent état.

Elle a été réalisée vers 2016 par Brian Tipungwuti, membre d'une famille d'artistes et gardiens des traditions bien connue à Milikapiti, dans le style traditionnel de l'île (style proche de celui de la terre d'Arnhem).

Le rêve peint est celui de la pierre ("Stone") dans ce style bien particulier fait de fines hachures entrecroisées. Les couleurs -traditionnelles- sont le noir, le blanc, l'ocre jaune clair, l'ocre, l'ocre rouge comme dans les peintures des grottes rupestres, les peintures corporelles ou sur les boucliers et autres artefacts aborigènes.

Très belle oeuvre, très décorative, puissante et sobre tout en étant délicate et subtile. Grace à ses couleurs naturelles elle conviendra aussi bien pour un intérieur avec des matériaux naturels comme le bois, que pour un intérieur plus moderne grace à l'usage du noir et du blanc. 

La surface peinte mesure 92 x 57 cm. S'ajoute une marge blanche (avec quelques salissures superficielles) de 6 à 7 cm de toile pour l'encadrement. Toile de lin de qualité et très épaisse. 

Au dos figurent le tampon du centre d'art, le nom de l'artiste, la référence catalogue de la peinture. Etiquette avec référence et coordonnées fournie. Possible envoi des photos de cette annonce par email sur simple demande.

Envoi rapide et soigné, la toile sera bien protégée dans un tube, dans un carton banalisé, le tout assuré ad valorem.
