Wood Japanese Kannon statue, standing on a mountain range. Height including halo: 31cm Good condition, wear from age, beautiful patina. Age: late Edo: 1800-1868 Wood Japanese Buddhist zushi. Writings on the bottom “Kaei Gan-nen (1848)” place and name of the Busshi (craftsman) who made the Zushi. Good condition, some parts urushi came off. Wear from age. The hinge fittings in copper, chased, on the front a hook clasp (bronze).
