Substantial bronze okimono 置物, deeply patinated in a warm shade of dark red, depicting a vigilant horse 馬 (uma). The sculpture captures the horse in a moment of alertness, with one leg gracefully raised and its tail elegantly trailing behind.
Dimensions:
Height 53.5 cm, Width 64.5 cm, Depth 17 cm.
Weight 15.1 kg.
Period: Japan – Late Shôwa period (Mid-/Late 20th century).
