uitzonderlijk houten beeld van een ruiter, afkomstig uit het westen van Burkina Fasso -  gemaakt in de 2de helft van de 20e eeuw - uitgevoerd : paard in handgesneden hardhout, ruiterfiguur in hetzelfde  hout dat volledig is ingekerfd in ruitjesvorm,  wat het geheel een veel "lichter" uitzicht geeft - omwille van dit speciaal en zeldzaam effect komt dit beeld zeer waarschijnlijk uit de inboedel van een belangrijke Chef - het symbo-liseert de geest van de bush - het paard staat hoog op zijn poten en heeft een lange nek; ook de ruiter heeft een smal uitgerekt figuur; ook zijn hoofd heeft een speciale vorm met open mond en lange neus (die twee laatste zijn typische Bwa kenmerken, die ook bijna altijd aanwezig zijn in hun meest bekende "plankmaskers", waarbij de mond rond of in ruitvorm kan zijn, maar altijd ver open gesperd). 
De gewoonte om maskers uit hout te snijden is bij de Bwa nochtans nog niet zo oud; ze hebben die zo'n .100 jaar geleden overgenomen van hun buren, de  Nuna ; voordien maakten de Bwa enkel maskers uit bladeren.

De algemene toestand van dit beeld is redelijk goed, alhoewel de armen van de ruiter ooit al terug geplakt werden, en nu de staart van het paard  hersteld (geplakt) moet worden; dit werkje laat ik wel aan de nieuwe eigenaar).  Dit stuk werd ooit aangekocht van een particulier in Frankrijk.

deze Koro ruiter symboliseert de geesten van de bush - het paard staat hoog op zijn  poten, en ook de ruiter is slank uitgerekt  -  het hoofd van de ruiter heeft een zeer speciale vorm (met open mond en verlengde neus)
gezien de ouderdom vertoont dit beeld weinig gebreken; de armen van de ruiter en de staart van het paard werden ooit  we terug gelijmd
