Fine large six-panel byôbu 屏風 (folding screen) covered with shiny golden silk. In Japan such tranquil and even screens are often used as a background for example vases with ikebana arrangements or other decorative or ceremonial objects.
Protected by a black lacquer frame with hardware. A special feature is that the back-side is covered with reddish pink fabric.
It is in very good condition with some traces of wear conform age. Old restoration on the backside. Please take a close look at the photos for a clear condition reference.

Period: Japan – Early-/Mid-Shôwa period (Mid-20th century).
