This object is “sold as seen” and “as is, where is,” meaning it is sold as shown in its present condition and place without warranty. The seller has arranged viewing days on his premises in Germany, D-40233 Düsseldorf, Hermannstrasse 11, on the 10th November 2023 from 10:00 to 13:00 CET.
Buyers are responsible for vehicle collection or delivery. Collection can only take place on the seller’s premises on 28 November, 1 or 2 December between 10.00 - 16.00 CET. Please contact Catawiki if you are not able to collect the vehicle on any of these dates.
Registering the vehicle in your country of residence may result in additional customs duties and import taxes or other fees.

THE CAR IN AUCTION:
The Studebaker Avanti is a notable American sports coupe introduced in 1962 by the Studebaker Corporation produced in small numbers only. It was a radically designed car intended to revitalize Studebaker and compete with the established American and European sports car brands. The Studebaker Avanti is a classic car loved by enthusiasts for its distinctive design and technical innovations. It remains a historically important vehicle in the history of the American automotive industry and is still admired by classic car enthusiasts.
The standard Studebaker Avanti was powered by a 4.7-liter V8 engine that produced with a standard rating of 240 horsepower. This gave the car impressive performance for its time, with a top speed of approximately 200 km/h and acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in approximately 8 seconds. Only about 4643 Avantis were produced.

This Studebaker Avanti R comes with the 280 HP supercharged R2 engine. The car has been beautifully restored on the outside, inside and technically. Everything works and it drives well. In 2017 it was repainted, when the color was changed to this nice blue metallic. Several new chrome parts were fitted, new door handles, new rubber seals for the windows, new tires and more.
