De Mercedes is van bouwjaar 1991 en is in 2001 ingevoerd uit Duitsland. Ik kocht de auto in 2008 met een kilometerstand van ca. 180.000 km. 

In verband met olieverbruik heb ik in februari 2009 bij een kilometerstand van 188.722 km de motor laten reviseren door een Mercedes specialist/motorenrevisiebedrijf (nota van € 8.865).
En in oktober 2009 is bij een kilometerstand van 192.659 km de automatische transmissie gereviseerd (nota € 2.612).

Sindsdien heb ik er ca 10.000 km mee gereden waarna de auto vanaf 2014 in een droge hal is gestald met de bedoeling er van te gaan genieten in een later stadium, helaas is dat er nooit van gekomen. Mijn zoon komt er wegens drukke werkzaamheden ook niet aan toe en daarom is er besloten om afscheid te nemen van de auto.

De auto heeft dus circa 9 jaar stilgestaan en moet daarom groot onderhoud krijgen. Maar na 9 jaar stilstand was het starten en lopen.

Alles functioneert, de motor loopt als een zonnetje, hij schakelt als de beste, de remmen werken goed maar alles dient na zo'n lange periode van stilstand grondig te worden nagezien. Zo lekt hij wat koelvloeistof (poreuze leidingen) en wat olie (afdichtringen uitgehard). De remleidingen zijn niet best meer en dienen wegens roestvorming vervangen te worden, het zijn nl. nog de originele. Het merendeel van de voor dit groot onderhoud benodigde onderdelen zijn aanwezig (zoals veerbollen, remslangen, remschijven, remklauwen, bougies, filters, vloeistoffen, etc.) en zijn bij de koop inbegrepen. Ook een, op de originele uitlaat lijkende, achter demper behoort tot de los bij te leveren onderdelen.

De lak vertoont nauwelijks krasjes, het leer is onbeschadigd, kortom een genot om te zien (en te rijden). Twee bemerkingen: een kleine lakbeschadiging op de stootlijst van het rechter voorportier en het motorkap scharnier links is iets ontzet.

Een uitgelezen kans om -door het zelf verrichten van onderhoudswerkzaamheden- een exclusieve auto te verwerven voor een betaalbare prijs.

De auto staat in Nederland in de plaats Emmen, provincie Drenthe.
