A unusual late Ming dynasty, 17th century, small Longquan vase with twin fish shaped handles. A form which originates from the Longquan kilns during the Song dynasty. 

The celadon crackled glaze shows nice clarity and typical green color. The foot rim is glazed and the vase was fired on the base which unglazed clay burned red. 

Provenance: Acquired from a Japanese private collection and comes with inscribed wooden box.

Condition: The vase has 2 baking flaws, one in the mouth and on the cylindrical body. The mouth has a small retouched hairline. Checked with bright UV light for defects. 

Dimensions: H17,4 x W6,7 cm.
