Recto / verso vellum with beautiful gold-painted filigree trail decorations
Exceptional manuscript from a French book of hours, written in Latin written on vellum with black and red ink in Gothic script. 

Recto text: 2 large, gold painted initials + 14 handwritten lines with a richly decorated, gold-painted filigree trail decoration on the right border.
Verso text: 2 large, gold painted intials + 14 handwritten lines with a richly decorated, gold-painted filigree trail decoration on the left border.

Size of the page: 18.1 × 13.0 cm.

Condition: Somewhat tanned to the edges (see photos), but exceptionally well-preserved after ca. 600 years!
