What is Cold Bronze? The term is used online to describe colorful bronze or spelter figures. Cold painting was a technique popular during the Art Deco period, which started in the 1920s. Cold painting refers to the surface finish, an important element in this type is bronze. Work on the surface of a cast figurine adds texture and sharpens surface details to create a truly exclusive item. Several coats of heavy lead-based paint are then applied to the statue. After this, the statue looks like a real bronze statue.
