Jaguar XK140 in the rarest 'SE' Special Equipment version, the most powerful available at the time,
with enhanced 'C Type' cylinder head and accessories such as spoke rims and driving lights.
Only 198 cars were produced in the SE/C version.

Delivered new to Nigeria to Mr.  N of B Priestley, a British mining contractor. It was specially ordered in the colours of the Nigerian flag (white and green) to support independence
and local nationalism.

Returned to the UK in the 1980s, it was then imported into Italy and completely restored in 2009 and registered, with ASI registration (see photo).

It is completely original. Matching number: engine, gearbox, body, chassis, internal and external colour.

The body was completely straightened and completely repainted in the original cream colour;

The engine has been completely rebuilt as has the gearbox and all the mechanical parts, while the leather interior has been restored in the original Green Suede colour and now has a beautiful original patina.

The underbody and the chassis are very solid and do not require any work to be used.

Since the 2009 restoration, the car has covered very few kilometres and has stood still in the garage for a few years due to the owner's age: it has just received a complete mechanical recommissioning of over 12,000 Euros with new chromed spoke rims, new tyres, new aluminium radiator, the engine taken out and completely serviced, including new oil seals, new hoses, new plugs, new brakes including master cylinder and pipes, dynamo system and much more, documented with photos and invoices. 

These rare SE versions are an excellent investment over time also due to their eligibility for international events such as Le Mans, Mille Miglia, Goodwood and many others. They are also extremely rare and it is difficult to buy one that is so original and well-documented.

The technical inspection was passed in September 2022 and is valid till September 2024 and no defects for road circulation were highlighted.

Note: During the 2009 overhaul, the damaged cylinder head was replaced with another rotational Jaguar one with internal C specification but A serial number. A suitable cylinder head can be supplied with C number.
